Terms of use
Last updated July 2026.
These terms are the agreement between you (the person or business using CleanDone) and us, Makappen Ltd, which runs CleanDone. By creating an account you agree to them, along with our Privacy notice and Data Processing Agreement.
What CleanDone does
CleanDone gives you a booking page, a diary, money tracking and related tools to run a cleaning business. We keep improving it, so features may change over time.
What it costs and how billing works
New accounts start with a free trial - currently your first 3 months, with no card needed. After that, if you choose a paid plan, you're billed per cleaner, either monthly or yearly, at the prices shown on our homepage. Billing continues until you cancel, and we'll give you reasonable notice before we change a plan or its price.
How do I cancel, and are there refunds?
You can cancel any time from your billing settings. There's no minimum term and no notice period.
- When you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for.
- We won't bill you again after that.
- We don't refund the current or unused part of a billing period - you keep access until it ends instead.
- If a payment fails, we may pause your paid access until it's sorted out.
What you're responsible for
You're responsible for your own customers, for the accuracy of what you enter, and for meeting your own legal duties as the controller of your customers' personal data - including any ICO registration and customer privacy notice you need. You also agree not to:
- use CleanDone for anything unlawful;
- send unlawful or unsolicited messages through it; or
- misuse the service or try to get around its security.
How we handle your data
Our Privacy notice explains how we handle personal data, and our Data Processing Agreementcovers the data you hold about your own customers - we're your processor for that. Your data is yours: you can export it or delete it at any time.
Keeping the service running, and if something goes wrong
We'll do as much as we reasonably can to keep CleanDone available and working well. We can't promise it will never be unavailable or completely free of faults, so it's provided "as is".
If we break this agreement, we'll only be responsible for losses we could reasonably have foreseen when you agreed to these terms. We're not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and - to the extent the law allows - our total liability to you is limited to the fees you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited by law.
Closing your account
There are two separate things you can do, both from Settings:
- Cancel your subscription - this stops billing and paid access but keeps your account and data, so you can come back later.
- Delete your account- this permanently erases everything (your clients, visits, photos, invoices and portal sign-ins) and can't be undone.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
Can we change these terms?
We may update these terms - for example to reflect new features, or legal or pricing changes. If a change matters to you, we'll give you reasonable notice through the app or by email before it takes effect.
Which law applies, and how to reach us
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Questions? Email us at support@cleandone.co.uk.
